A completely delusional hypocrite, a young shattered life, and wives with blind eyes bring this story to unadulterated drama. This story details the life of Tatiana and the horror she sustained at the hands of those who are supposed to protect, heal, and love. Having thought that she finally found the freedom to live as she chose, Tatiana is submerged back into a life she feared. Struggling to once again getaway Tatiana faces the challenge that could take her life and ruin all hopes for the future. Shattered peace is a superheated touch on religion, faith, and family ties. Although I highly recommend reading this novel, it is not for the faint at heart. Hidden jewel.

Shattered Peace by KR Bankston is a page turner with a couple of surprises! Expect a flood of emotions as KR takes you on the journey of characters looking for love and peace; and the emotional past that they must deal with in order to reach that peace. Redemption and changes. Preachers, preachers kid, mom and abuse. Not always the main character representing the fore mention. The best part of this book is that the reader becomes invested in not just the main character but the secondary characters as well. Naimah was in an abusive relationship and I was focused on her story and then Tatiana, who was the main character dealing with an obsessive preacher. Captivating! Don’t skip a page as every character is important. Even Denzel and Samuel! (ugh) After reading prior KR books, which I loved, this storyline of love and healing shocked me coming from her; however this only certifies that KR Bankston’s mind can go from full force killing to peace and take her readers with her.

A delusional pastor’s obsession with a child makes this page turner hard to put down… This book takes on the hypocrisy of a pastor the congregation believes does no wrong while he makes a young woman’s life a living hell… Factor in her mother knowing and condoning his actions and you can’t help but feel for the young sista until in true KR Bankston form, she throws you for a loop with a big reveal… Add in Naimah and the pastor’s son’s obsession with her in Alabama and you almost have too much drama to bare in this book… This is sure to be one you won’t wanna put down til it reaches it’s climactic end…
